VillageMD is committed to giving primary care providers the tools and resources needed to fulfill their Hippocratic oath to care for patients to the best of their ability. VillageMD provides care to meet patient needs wherever they are on their health journey . The Village Medical brand provides primary care for patients at traditional free-standing practices, Village Medical at Walgreens practices, at home and via virtual visits. VillageMD currently operates more than 250 practices across 19 markets. VillageMD and Walgreens will open more than 600 Village Medical at Walgreens primary care and pharmacy practices in more than 30 U.S. markets by 2025 and 1,000 by 2027, with more than half of those practices in medically underserved communities.

VillageMD clinicians are leaders in medical practice, in their communities, and as advocates for value-based care models. VillageMD services are aligning incentives to provide better health outcomes at a lower cost. Our physician-led primary care teams include pharmacists, nurses, lab techs, behavioral health specialists and other types of providers with a national network of clinical best practices to help provide coordinated, personalized care for each patient, including people managing chronic conditions. The U.S. spends nearly $4 trillion per year on healthcare, and more than 85% of that is tied to patients with chronic diseases.

Additionally, Gary Jacobs, executive director of VillageMD’s Center for Public Policy, is the co-chair of the DCE coalition by the America’s Physician Groups. The coalition was formed to provide education and advocacy in support of CMS’ direct contracting model.
